Intermittent stalling

Postby BoostedMK2 » Mon Dec 06, 2021 12:15 am

This started out as a minor fault. Cruising at 60kph in 4th part throttle. The engine would just die for a moment then run ok. It has become worse, dying for longer.
I've researched a little and found I should check the MAP sensor. I have a platinum Sport 1000 ECU and Haltech external 3 bar map sensor. Also might replace the TPS.
I leave all my tuning to professionals, are there basic tests can do with a multi meter or ohm meter? If I drive with ECU manager, it could log the fault??

Do a log and record the Trigger count, Triggers Since Last Home, Battery Voltage and Home count. Replay the log and/or look at it in the Data Log Viewer. Look for irregularities.

Hi Jim.

Thanks for your advice! I was able to figure out the problem based on what you mentioned in the post. I didn't even have to do a log. I had a hunch it was low battery voltage and sure enough my alternator was cooked and battery was too low. Thanks mate
