Upcoming Platinum ECUs

Postby Mike_R » Thu Nov 27, 2008 5:24 am

For those of you who were not so fortunate as to get the chance to see the upcoming Platinum Sport 1000 and Platinum Sport 2000, here are a few early shots! The Platinum Sport 1000 and Platinum Sport 2000 look to take the place of the current E8 and E11v2, but will feature a new software package, utilize the same pin out, harnesses, and connectors as the E8 / E11v2, have an improved internal reluctor adapter, USB communication, support tuning in VE, internal 2.5 bar map sensor, and much more! Enjoy some early shot!

Coming soon, hopefully the beginning of the year. And pricing remains the same as E8 and E11 currently, as they will take their place.

Retail:
Platinum Sport 1000 Kit $1346.25
Platinum Sport 2000 Kit $1706.25

As you can see Martin, among the pics Mike's got in the first post, there is a Pro ECU, this ECU is currently the 350Z box, and has been the forerunner for the box that is powering the Haltech Skyline GT-R, this box is slated to become the top dog later next year as it will posses a great deal of options to an already expanding arsenal.

Watch out for it later in the year.

Here are some screenshots of the new Platinum Sport ECU Manager Software. As we've indicated, it looks very much like the current 350Z ECU manager software, with the addition of course of the universal triggers, and menu options to configure inputs and outputs. Please note, these shots are from an Alfa version, this software has already gone through a lot of revisions, so that it can be ready for the release date to accompany the new units.

Enjoy!

What about drivebywire. Are the new PlatiniumSeries able to drive oem-electronic-throttle example on most of all new engines.

Im told that the Platinum Pro will be able to do DBW control eventually. Hopefully by late next year they'll have something available.

Here are a couple more screenshots.

The reason for this image is so you can see the icon on the map file, what does this mean, FILE ASSOCIATION!! Finally! you can double click a map file and the Haltech program will launch with the corresponding map loaded!! 8)

Customizable page layout! You can make of the ECU Manager what you like! You have gauges, bar graphs, number/text indicators, TEXT/2D/3D map windows, trace views, etc., and you can make them smaller, larger, and there will be different theme options to choose from, to make this even more personalized for each user. Make of it what you like!

Software is now smarter than you! :) Dont take this the wrong way, Haltech has made the software self aware of changes and it knows exactly when things have been set incorrectly and will let you know instantly!

I think thats enough for now. Are we drooling yet?

It will likely be a little while before full platinum pro universal info/pricing comes out, along with the actual unit release.
