Wiring temp sensor on s15 pro plug in

Postby MatthewPwr » Wed Jun 24, 2020 9:46 am

Hi there,

I have an rear auxiliary harness for my platinum pro plug in and I’m having trouble finding info.

My question is, do all of the avi’s have an internal 1k pull up resistor? I’m wanting to figure this out as I have a 2 pin fluid temp sensor for oil.

Thanks.

Can someone please answer what I need to do from wiring in a temp sensor with the rear auxiliary harness to setting up on the ecu? Is there a selectable 1k pull up on each Avi or is there only one Avi with a 1k pull up?

I quickly looked at the the quick-start pdf for the S15 and it said that Analogue Temperature Inputs (ATI) have pull-up resistors, it does not say that any AVI inputs have them. Also when looking at the basemap for the S15 it does not have any ATI inputs to enable at all. It also said that the Optional Rear Auxiliary Harness (HT-040003) adds the possibility to add two additional sensors, but it seems to be 4 AVI inputs and does not say anything about ATIs...

Are you sure there are any inputs with a pull-up on your ECU?
Unless i hear otherwise, if i were you, i would assume no input have a pull-up as long as it is written as an AVI input and not an ATI in the ECU Manager.

These is taken from the Quick-Start Guide (QSG)

HT-055112_QSG.pdf wrote:Analogue Voltage Inputs ( AVI )

Analogue Voltage Inputs accept variable voltage inputs from 0V to 5V. These inputs
can also accept switch inputs that change between two different voltage levels.
The On Voltage and Off Voltage define what the thresholds are between the On and Off
states. The Voltage can be viewed as a channel in the software to determine the
thresholds for a switched input.
Two additional sensors or switched inputs can be connected using the
Optional Rear Auxiliary Harness ( HT-040003 )

Analogue Temperature Inputs ( ATI )

Analogue Temperature Inputs accept variable resistance sensors.
These inputs have a pull – up resistor connected to them to allow them to be used with
most automotive temperature senders ( Variable resistance thermistor types ).
Two additional sensors can be connected using the Optional Rear Auxiliary
Harness ( HT-040003 )
