P1301 AT 4500 RPM

Greetings Everyone,

Does anyone have a clue why the code P1301 Trigger Reference Error will pop up on the back end of a pull? The car is running E85 and pulls pretty good up tell about 4500-4800 rpm. The car will pop out the exhaust and fall on it's face. Does this sound like a too retarded of timing issue to you guys? The car is set up at 500 Degrees for the TDC Offset Angle, Quick start enabled, #3 on the filter. Max timing around this fault is about 13.6 degrees advanced at 4600 rpm. Car runs about 24.5 PSI at around .78 Lambda which is rich but I'm trying to tune it as safe as possible and pull fuel once I make it rev to the limiter at 6600 rpm. Do you guys think this is a rich pop out the exhaust or to retard on the timing due to the trigger reference error (maybe the crank sensor)?

Thanks for any advise.

-Blaine

Is your trigger arming voltage table set too high?
Try lowering in the higher RPM cells and see if that helps.

Logg the channels that can give an answer and do the same again.

Then you will know what’s going on.

That error is your crank trigger dropping out, adjust the air gap and make sure the sensor is aligned so it picks up the middle of the teeth.
