A/C not switching on PnP MX5

Postby timwrx » Fri Nov 23, 2018 9:31 pm

I've just installed an Elite 1500 PnP kit in my 1990 1.6 MX5 and it is all working really well with the supplied base map but the A/C does not switch on.

The A/C was working fine with the stock ecu.

I played around with a few settings and if I change the DPO active state from low to high the A/C switches on and operates regardless of whether the A/C is selected on or off.

Is there something I need to change with the A/C request switch input settings? I'm new to this and still trying to get my head around how the inputs operate.

It wont be the output, this needs to stay on the settings it had. It is the Request input that you will need to look at to find why it is not working. There are number of variants of these vehicles and I would not put it past Mazda to change the way it is done with each of them.

Usually there are two settings for this. Falling with pullup Enabled (switches to ground), or Rising with pullup Disabled (switches to 5V+ or more).
