K24 iVTEC and VTC wiring on the Haltech Elite 1500

Postby Itamar_M » Mon Oct 04, 2021 6:29 am

Hi there,
-
I have a question regarding iVTEC and VTC wiring on the Haltech Elite 1500.
-
-
I know the iVTEC solenoid (VTS) needs to receive one wire from the ECU and one wire that goes to Egnd.
I know the iVTEC oil pressure switch also needs to receive one ECU wire and one Egnd wire.
I know the VTC solenoid also gets one ECU wire and one Egnd wire.
-
-
Now, according to Honda, the factory ECU (05-06) pinout is as such:
iVTEC Solenoid (VTS) gets pin PCM B6.
iVTEC oil pressure switch gets pin PCM B11.
VTC gets pin PCM B1.
-
-
My question is, what pin does each of the 3 components need to receive from the Elite 1500 ECU?
-
-
Thanks

load up one of the base maps for honda civic or dc5 that come with the esp software and see how they setup those bits
download the manual for the wiring loom adapter for the dc5 / ep3 so you can see what wiring gets used for the pins for these features

Just received an email from Haltech. Seems what I wrote was wrong:

iVTEC solenoid (VTS) needs to receive one wire from the ECU and one wire that goes to Egnd.
iVTEC oil pressure switch also needs to receive one ECU wire and one Sgnd wire.
VTC solenoid also gets one ECU wire and one 12v switched wire.

Can anyone confirm this?

Thanks

i understand that both VTS and VTC need to have +12. the ecu controls grounding to activate them.
