Wiring each gear position output from the position switch takes up way too many (6) inputs. There are commercially available converters that change each position into a voltage value at 1 input, but why spend $250 when you can build it for less than $10 with resistors from Jaycar. This is all based on the fact you can solder.
This will work with any 6-step gear position switch found in Supra, Soarer, Skylines, VL, Subaru, etc.

The common power wire into the gear position switch should be the +8v sensor supply (pin A12 on a 2500)
On each of the position outputs, wire in the resistors as shown below and you will get:
- 1v in Park (3k + 3k + 1k)
- 2v in Reverse (3k)
- 3v in Neutral (1.6k + 68)
- 4v in Drive (1k)
- 5v in 2nd (300 + 300)
- 6v in Low (300 + 15 + 18)
