Twin spark W wasted spark guidance

Postby steeko » Wed Dec 21, 2022 12:42 am

Apologies for noobness in advance.

I have a twin spark Toyota 3tgte engine running coil on plug and a Haltech Elite 550.

Distributor died and have a trigger wheel and sensor ready to go

Looking for some guidance on how to make it work as wasted spark. Have been looking at the YouTube videos etc but can't see anything much for this type of setup

Do I need a timing light?
Are the wiring inputs to the ECU specific for the trigger or is there a way to select a different input? I have updated the cars ECU to run the newer NSP software.

Also not sure as to where to position the missing tooth
I'm guessing I put it at some particular degrees when the engine is at TDC and use that in the NsP trying gger setup page?

Missing tooth can be at any angle relative to TDC except an engine position between TDC and maximum ignition advance (generally 45 deg BTDC and TDC).
