Auto reset not working

Anyone have an idea why auto reset for engine protection would not be working? It is enabled with a delay but never resets even though the The DTC condition (lean condition) is not persisting. I have to manually clear it via the NSP software. Does it not auto-reset if you have the NSP software running and connected to the ECU? Thanks
