Long term trim apply to base map

Postby Filholm » Sat Jan 25, 2020 9:21 pm

Hi i have an issue with applying any long term trim to any of their respective base maps. If i turn off and on the long term trim, it then is possible to apply the trim to the base map.

Engine is not running and ignition is on when i try to apply to base map. All of the buttons labeled apply to base map is greyed out.

Best regards
Martin

It's been that way forever. I think it's there on purpose.

What firmware and ESP version are you running? I know this was a bug a while ago, but I'm pretty sure it's been fixed for a while...

It's that way for me and I am using ESP 2.42 and 2.35 firmware. I bought my Elite in Jan 2013 and it's been that way since.

This old chestnut comes and goes with the weather. They fix it and it breaks again on a later version.

If it is ever greyed out, disable the function by clicking the green button for that function and this will make it turn red. Do not apply or OK, just click it again and it will go back to green. You should then be able to apply the learning.

I uncheck and recheck the box on the long term trim window and then I can apply the long term trim.
I was thinking that it was set that way on purpose to avoid accidental (and to avoid the inquiring minds from) updating the map.

It is a software function reset issues of some kind. But at least there is a workaround.

New software is coming soon and hopefully this will be an issue of the past.

Hi Matt, can you give us an idea what new features are likely to be added in the new s/w ?

Kind Regards

Stefan

Just thought I’d let you know, latest ESP still doing it. Glad I found this page though. Just untick then retick the Function you are trying to add to. Works a treat
