Lean Deceleration

Postby JEALES » Tue Oct 26, 2021 8:22 pm

Hey all.

I am getting very lean conditions whilst off the throttle downshifting, popping and crackling. Actually sounds pretty cool but I'd rather not attract unwanted attention.

Is there a decel enrichment table somewhere in the software that I could adjust, as opposed to messing with the base map?

Thanks:)

There is, under F4 -> Funtions -> Transient Throttle.
There are two other tables that could be off interest to you under F4 -> Engine -> Fuel -> Zero Demand Fuel Amount and
F4 -> Engine -> Ignition -> Zero Demand Ignition Angle

Hope this helps.

Thanks Domi. Zero demand fuelling hasn't been enabled.

Have you logged the condition when it is popping and cracking? I was surprised to find how slowly my throttle position transitioned from high percentage usage to fully closed, i.e. 1/10ths of seconds to happen and fully go to zero. Thus zero demand throttle settings didn't help. Also looking at the trace through the fuel table during an event may help you decide what is best to adjust. Enabling decel function (i.e. fuel cut) may be an option as once active there will not be any popping and cracking as no fuel is entering the engine. My car doesn't pop/crack with extra fuel but the flames out the tailpipe are risky with regards to starting a fire, thus my choice for using decel.
