High beam indicator always on and turns off with stalk

Postby Pauly383 » Fri May 14, 2021 7:17 pm

Hi everyone,

I have a 1991 Holden Statesman with a Sport GM ECU and IC-7. I have connected the output from my OE dash for the high beam (ground) to pin 25 of the IC-7 as per instructions.

Powering up the dash, the high beam indicator is lit. Using the stalk to activate the high beams, the dash light goes out, so the opposite of how it should work.

The dash connector output is 100% switched ground, as tested with a known 12v source and a multimeter.

Anyone have any clues as to why, or how to fix this?

Many thanks,
Paul.

According to the wiring diagram included with the dash, the light indicator inputs need to be 12v switched, not ground.

I'm having the same issue. Would work fine if I could invert the data bit. Not sure if the software can allow for that.

If the data bit in the software can do that, where do I find it?

Thanks

Also having the exact same problem. Would love to know if there is a work around.
