Is it possible to set up a custom CAN configuration?

Is it possible to do a custom CAN configuration on the Nexus? I may be starting a new project this fall and would like to retain the factory electric steering rack if I do. I would prefer to use the ECU's CAN link directly without any other electronics between the two devices, but poking around in the NSP software I didn't see any way to do anything more advanced than select from the list of already supported cars.

Unfortunately no. I have the same situation but with an electric power steering column. I'm praying they add this feature soon. It has been popular request on the forum.

I've installed an Opel/Astra power electric steering pump in my Rx7. Got one too new and it is controlled by CAN. I'm hoping that it is just looking for a standard engine running and steering wheel position signal on the bus, in order for it to power up the motor.
So I support improvements to the Nexus for CAN.
